Procurement Opportunities

The Brockton Area Transit Authority (BAT) contracts with vendors for the purchase of goods and services.  The agency strives to give all businesses, including Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (MWBEs), an equal opportunity to compete for BAT procurements. The agency casts a wide net in search of talented vendors, seeking qualified suppliers from all segments of the community. The contractor, sub-recipient or subcontractor shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability in the performance. REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
MEDIUM DUTY 30’ TRANSIT COACHES

The Brockton Area Transit Authority (BAT) is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to furnish and deliver two (2) 30 foot, medium duty, ADA compliant, cutaway transit coaches as described in the specifications.

BAT may award a contract for the transit coaches to be delivered by April 15, 2020 with an option for two (2) additional coaches to be delivered within the contract term.

Proposal submittals and required certifications must be received by BAT no later than 2:00 PM. on June 19, 2019. This solicitation is being financed in part with funds provided by the U.S. DOT, Federal Transit Administration and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. It is subject to BAT Standard Terms and Conditions for Rolling Stock, which are included with the solicitation documents. REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
TRANSPORTATION SERVICE PROVIDERS

The Brockton Area Transit Authority (BAT) is inviting proposals from transportation operators interested in providing paratransit service in Rockland, MA. BAT will provide the contractor with the two vehicles necessary to operate the service.

Firms must have a minimum of three years of experience in the operation of public transportation service and demonstrate that they can meet the requirements established by BAT.

Proposals must be received by BAT at the above address no later than 2:00PM on June 12, 2019. Questions and requests for clarification must be received by BAT at the above address no later than 2:00PM on May 29, 2019.

This project is financed in part through a grant from the Federal Transit Administration, and any contract entered into is subject to the provisions of applicable laws governing that grant. All resulting contracts will be subject to applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. PRE-QUALIFICATION TO SUPPLY

DIESEL AND UNLEADED REGULAR GASOLINE

 

Suppliers of No 2 red-dyed diesel and unleaded regular gasoline are invited to submit Pre-Qualification documents to the Brockton Area Transit Authority (BAT).  BAT is seeking qualified fuel suppliers to be included on the list of suppliers eligible to submit quotations to BAT for diesel and unleaded regular gasoline to be delivered to BAT during the period beginning July 3, 2017 through June 30, 2019.

 

Pre-Qualification submittals, required certifications and evidence of insurance must be received by BAT to be considered.  Fuel suppliers will be considered at any time for pre-qualification throughout the above contract period The Pre-Qualification Form, required certifications, Instructions and Terms and Conditions are available at the BAT Administrative Office, 155 Court St., Brockton, MA 02302, or can be requested by FAX to BAT at 508-584-1437  or E-mail to: jmech@ridebat.com.      

 

BAT intends to solicit quotes for diesel fuel in quantities of 42,000 gallons or more and may solicit quotes for as little as 10,000 gallons.  BAT consumes approximately 7,300 gallons of diesel fuel each week.  BAT also intends to solicit quotes for unleaded regular gasoline in quantities of 42,000 gallons or more and may solicit quotes for as little as 10,000 gallons.  BAT’s unleaded above ground fuel storage tank capacity is 5,000 gallons whereas BAT’s underground diesel fuel tank capacity is 40,000 gallons.

Notice is hereby given that the Brockton Area Transit Authority (BAT) has established a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Participation Goal in accordance with U.S. Department of Transportation Regulations at 49 CFR Part 26.BAT’s goal for DBE participation for Federal Fiscal Years 2018-2020 shall be 2.3 percent of funds expended in U.S. Department of Transportation assisted contracts.The goal, description of the methodology used to determine the goal, and BAT’s DBE Program Plan are available for inspection between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday at the BAT office at 155 Court St., Brockton, MA 02302. The goal and Plan will be available for thirty (30) days following the original date of this notice. Comments on the goal and Plan will be accepted for forty-five (45) days from the date of publication of this notice. Comments may be sent to BAT at the above address or the Federal Transit Administration (FTA), Volpe Center at 55 Broadway, Cambridge, MA 02142.
