Procurement Opportunities

The Brockton Area Transit Authority (BAT) contracts with vendors for the purchase of goods and services.  The agency strives to give all businesses, including Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (MWBEs), an equal opportunity to compete for BAT procurements. The agency casts a wide net in search of talented vendors, seeking qualified suppliers from all segments of the community. The contractor, sub-recipient or subcontractor shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability in the performance. TRANSIT ADVERTISING SERVICES

 

The Brockton Area Transit Authority (BAT) is seeking proposals from qualified firms to administer the bus advertising program for BAT.  The selected firm will be responsible for promoting, selling, and installing exterior and interior bus advertising media in accordance with BAT Advertising Guidelines.

Proposal submittals and required certifications must be received by BAT no later than 2:00 PM. on December 7, 2016.    The Request for Proposals package, required certifications, Instructions and Terms and Conditions are available at the BAT Administrative Office, 155 Court St., Brockton, MA 02302, or can be requested by FAX to BAT at 508-584-1437 or E-mail to: jmech@ridebat.com.

ON-CALL DESIGN/ENGINEERING SERVICES

    The Brockton Area Transit Authority (BAT) is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide On-Call Design/Engineering Services for the Rehabilitation and Renovation of BAT Facilities in Brockton, Massachusetts.   BAT expects to award a contract for professional services including any of the following: project scoping, preliminary plans, cost estimating, project specifications, bid documents and construction management services.  The contract shall be for a period of three (3) years with one (1) one year option to renew at the sole discretion of BAT.  BAT may award a contract for on-call services from the date of execution of a Professional Services Agreement through June 30, 2019

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

LEASED TIRES FOR FIXED ROUTE AND

PARATRANSIT OPERATIONS

 

East Coast Transit Services, Inc. is the operating company for the Brockton Area Transit (bat) fixed-route operation. The Maintenance and Operations Facility (MOF) for this operation is based at 1442 Main Street Brockton, MA 02301. The MOF is the main storage and maintenance facility for all of the bat buses.  East Coast Transit Services (ECTS) is seeking proposals from qualified proposers to provide leased tires for both the fixed route and paratransit operations located at the bat MOF, 1442 Main Street in Brockton, MA. The resulting contract will commence on or about January 1, 2017 for a period of three years.  Proposals are due no later than 11:00 a.m. EST, November 18, 2016 at ECTS offices at 1442 Main Street, Brockton, MA 02031. The performance of this contract is subject to the requirements of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and all equal employment opportunity requirements. PRE-QUALIFICATION TO SUPPLY

ULTRA LOW-SULFUR, RED DYED DIESEL FUEL

Suppliers of ultra low-sulfur, No. 2 red dyed diesel fuel are invited to submit Pre-Qualification documents to the Brockton Area Transit Authority (BAT).  BAT is seeking qualified fuel suppliers to be included on the list of suppliers eligible to submit quotations to BAT for diesel fuel to be delivered to BAT during the period beginning November 1, 2015 through December 31, 2017.   Pre-Qualification submittals, required certifications and evidence of insurance must be received by BAT before a supplier will be considered eligible to participate in bidding on fuel delivery contracts.    The Pre-Qualification Form, required certifications, Instructions and Terms and Conditions are available at the BAT Administrative Office, 155 Court St., Brockton, MA 02302, or can be requested by FAX to BAT at 508-584-1437  or E-mail to: jmech@ridebat.com.         BAT intends to solicit quotes for diesel fuel in quantities of 42,000 gallons or more periodically during the contract period.  BAT consumes approximately 7,100 gallons of diesel fuel each week.    This solicitation is being financed in part with funds provided by The U.S. DOT, Federal Transit Administration and is subject to BAT Standard Terms and Clauses copies of which are available on request or at www.ridebat.com under Procurement Opportunities.  Minority business enterprises are encouraged to respond to this solicitation.

DBE GOAL

Notice is hereby given that the Brockton Area Transit Authority (BAT) has established a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Participation Goal in accordance with U.S. Department of Transportation Regulations at 49 CFR Part 26.

BAT’s goal for DBE participation for Federal Fiscal Years 2015-2017 shall be 6.6 percent of funds expended in U.S. Department of Transportation assisted contracts.

The goal, description of the methodology used to determine the goal, and BAT’s DBE Program Plan are available for inspection between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday at the BAT office at 155 Court St., Brockton, MA 02302.  The goal and Plan will be available for thirty (30) days following the date of this notice.  Comments on the goal and Plan will be accepted for forty-five (45) days from the date of publication of this notice.
