Current Service Announcements

REDUCED SCHEDULE-  In order to best comply with CDC and MassDPH guidelines regarding social distancing, BAT has made the decision to further reduce service. These changes are designed to enhance the safety of our customers and drivers. We request your patience and understanding during this difficult time. BAT strongly encourages the public to reserve bus and public transit for essential travel only. If you are not feeling well, do not take public transportation.

Starting Monday morning, April 6th:

  • All city routes will be running on an hourly schedule and service will end at 7:00 PM in order to promote a clean and safe environment for travel.
  • BAT will be implementing rear door boarding whenever safe to do so. Customers that require the use of the ramp or “kneeling” feature of the bus may continue to board through the front door. Whenever possible, please continue to exit through the front of the bus.  Please allow all passengers to exit safely before boarding.  If exiting, through the rear door, please use extreme caution. Move away from the bus and allow it to clear the area before continuing on to your destination.
  • Seating capacity will be reduced on most buses and customers are asked to maintain distance between them and others whenever possible. Additional buses will be on stand-by should buses begin to fill up.
  • The BAT Centre will now be closed to customers. Customer service will be available via phone at 508-638-5920 and in-person at the BAT Administrative Offices, 155 Court Street.

All Brockton and Stoughton routes will run on a reduced “snow schedule”. (see below)  Routes 10/11 will be combined and routes 5/6  will be combined. Route 12 Ashmont will run a reduced schedule with no express trips.  MiniMaller Route 13 – there will be no service. Rockland Flex route will run a regular schedule. All BSU service has been suspended for the remainder of the Spring semester.
